Betsy joined the Prep in August 2016. She has over 15 years of development experience at various institutions including 10 years at Saint Joseph’s University where she served as Executive Director of the Parents Program and Sr. Executive Director of the Haub School of Business. Betsy is a graduate of the University of Scranton and the mother of two Prep alums, Kevin ‘08 and Brendan ‘10.

Jeannie joined the Prep in 2018 after serving at Saint Joseph's University for 20 years. Most recently, Jeannie served as the Senior Director of Development Services at the Barnes Foundation. A resident of Narberth, Jeannie is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and has received certifications from Villanova University and the National Society of Fundraising Executives. She also has been active in the Jesuit mission, having completed the Ignatian Leadership Program at SJU and served on the Executive Committee of the Jesuit Advancement Administrators Team.

Patti Frey joined the Prep family in 2017 and serves as Director of Development. A seasoned fundraiser with over 17 years of experience in development, Patti will focus her attention on building relationships to increase private support for the Prep. Before arriving at the Prep, Patti served in development roles at Penn State University, Drexel University and Temple University, her alma mater. Patti holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Temple University, with a major in marketing. She is also an Assistant Rugby Coach and co-moderator of the Travis Manion Foundation Leadership Program.

Patti joined the Prep Development Team in 2017 after serving similar roles at Bancroft and Saint Joseph's University. She manages corporate sponsorships and special events.

Margaret joined the Prep in Fall of 2021 after spending several years at Waldron Mercy Academy's Development Office, processing gifts for the annual auction. Margaret holds a BS from Saint Joseph’s University in Management Information Systems and an MA from Rosemont College in Counseling Psychology.

Kara has served as Director of Development at St. Bernadette’s School in Drexel Hill. As a parent volunteer at Sacred Heart Academy, she was responsible for planning many fundraising and other social events and is an active member of St. Dorothy’s Parish.
Megan Donovan

Megan Donovan joined the Development Team in 2019 as Development Associate, after experience in roles as Faculty Affairs Coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and Benefits Administrator at NationalHR. Megan is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, where she received a B.A. in Communication and Business and was a member of the Chapel Choir and Nevergreen Sketch Comedy, and the University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Master of Liberal Arts degree in Urban Studies. Megan also served as a Jesuit Volunteer with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Houston, Tx.

In 2015 Tara began in the President’s Office where she served as President’s Assistant and Secretary to the Board of Trustees, then Director of the President's Office. She has most recently worked in the Office of Marketing/Communications as Director of Communications Operations.  Before coming to the Prep, Tara worked in the Development Office at Saint Joseph’s University and has been involved in many areas of the the Prep and brings a great love of the Prep and the school’s mission.

Nicholas joined the Prep in September 2024 with many years of fundraising experience. Most recently he has served as Director of Development at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and as the Executive Director of the Advancement of Mission Advancement at Roman Catholic High School, where he raised more than $20 million to support the school. At both positions, Nick was concerned with ensuring access to all qualified students and believes strongly in that mission at the Prep, where his brother Joe graduated in 1992. Prior to his work at both schools, he was Associate Director of Business Development at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, another outstanding local non-profit. Nick is an active member in his community and helps to maintain and plant trees within the Philadelphia Region.

Andy joined the Prep Development Office in 2016 as Director of Major Gifts. A 1999 Prep graduate, Andy was a member of the Tennis team, participated in intramurals and contributed to the Hawklet newspaper and Chronicle yearbook. After graduating from the Prep, Andy continued his Jesuit educational experience at the University of Scranton, graduating in 2003 with a BA in History. Andy, his wife Mary, and their three children currently reside in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Charlie Van Kula '14 has served the Prep in several capacities. After graduating from Boston College, he returned to the Prep as a member of the Alumni Service Corps and joined the Advancement staff in 2022. He is committed to our students and is currently the JV Ice Hockey Coach.
